Bayer appointed Laércio Bortolini head of agriculture division in Ukraine
Bayer appointed Laércio Bortolini a new head of its agriculture division in Ukraine, Bayer Crop Science, effective 1 October 2021.
Frank Hatke, the former Country Division Head Ukraine & General Director, who held this position for three years, retired in July after 30 years in Bayer.
Laércio Bortolini is a Brazil citizen. He joined Bayer more than 20 years ago. Laércio headed the company's seed business in Brazil from 2016 until the recent appointment. In Brazil, he contributed to the growth of the business and the successful development of the seed team.
"I am delighted to head the agriculture division in Ukraine for agriculture plays just as important a role in Ukraine as it does in Brazil. I want to preserve good business performance and provide even more innovation and digital solutions to Ukrainian agriproducers for them to grow optimal and sustainable crops," says Laércio Bortolini.
