Bayer appointed new managing director in Ukraine

Oliver Gierlichs was appointed managing director and CFO of Bayer Ukraine effective July 1, 2020.

Oliver Gierlichs has been working for Bayer throughout his career, starting in the German procurement department and later in senior positions in several European countries, Mexico and at the company's headquarters in Leverkusen, Germany. Prior to the appointment, he headed Bayer West-Central Africa since September 2017.

"With the current quarantine and travel restrictions, Oliver Gierlichs is planning to arrive in Ukraine in September 2020. Until then, he will be operating remotely. Jens Behrens, who previously headed Bayer in Ukraine, has decided to retire early after 35 years with the company," the company said.

Previously reported that Bayer reached verbal agreements to resolve most of 125,000 lawsuits of the Roundup litigation in the US.
