Astarta aids in UN humanitarian assistance delivery to Ukraine

The agri-industrial holding Astarta-Kyiv will assist in delivering the UN World Food Programme (WFP) humanitarian shipments to Ukraine.
The international humanitarian cargo will include nutrition, personal protective equipment and medications. For its part, the company will provide services for their delivery from Poland to destinations in Ukraine. The relevant team has already been established for this job, freight transport has been prepared.
"Providing a variety of humanitarian aid to Ukrainians, including the free supply of food produced in-house and other resources, is a priority for our company. At the same time, we are consistently working on ways of increasing its volume. Therefore, when the World Food Programme announced the delivery of humanitarian aid and sought partners in Ukraine to deliver it, we offered our own logistics capabilities within the country," announced Viktor Ivanchyk, CEO of Astarta-Kyiv.

Astarta reports on its Facebook page that the first shipment of humanitarian assistance under the programme has arrived.
"The first plane landed in Poland with 40 t of medicines from one of the European partners of this project. By this time they have already been delivered to a warehouse in Ukraine and will soon be handed over to those who desperately need them," the message reads.
Since russia invaded Ukraine, Astarta has provided aid worth almost UAH 38 mln. About 1,000 t of food and other resources, including vehicles, were handed over to the military and the population, evacuated Ukrainians were accommodated in improved facilities on the premises of the company's enterprises.
Previously reported that Agroprosperis and its parent company NCH established a charity fund to support the population in the regions of its operations.
