Bayer management chose to continue supplying products to russia

Bayer announced that it has decided to continue supplying basic agricultural inputs to russia, Reuters reports.

The company backtracked on a statement made in March that supplies for 2023 would depend on russia ending its military aggression against Ukraine. The statement was updated yesterday, August 15.

"Our position is clear — this war, initiated by russia, is taking too many lives every day," the statement reads.

However, it is added that Bayer "decided to continue supplying Russian farmers with essential agricultural products to ensure they can contribute to fulfilling the global demand."
