Agrotrade doubles its winter rapeseed areas for 2023 crop

Agrotrade Group planted winter rapeseed on more than 15 thou. ha in Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions, twice as more as in the current season. The company considers this crop to be promising, therefore the area has been expanded.

"We decided to significantly increase the area of winter rapeseed for it is a promising crop and over the years we have mastered the technology of its cultivation. Sowing conditions were rather favourable, which gives hope for good emergence and in the future — for a rich crop," marked Oleksandr Ovsyanik, Head of Agro-Industrial Department of Agrotrade.

In mid-July, the company started winter crops harvesting. Winter rapeseed production reached 110% of the planned. The highest average yield made up 4,42 t/ha in Kharkiv region.

In 2021, Agrotrade planted 6.7 thou. ha of winter rapeseed.
