PACE adopts resolution to recognize russia terrorist regime

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a resolution designating the russian federation as a terrorist regime.

The resolution was adopted unanimously, 99 deputies present at the session voted for it, and one abstained.

"The russian regime is a terrorist regime. This is a powerful signal of global scale, and it is another step to recognize russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. Another step that brings us closer to the international isolation of russia! We continue to work for the victory of Ukraine!" commented MP Oleksiy Honcharenko.

He added that for the first time in history the Council of Europe has stated that it is necessary to give weapons to Ukraine. It concerns air defense systems for the protection of civilians.

PACE is the first international organization to recognize russia as a terrorist state.

Before the vote, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the PACE via video link and called to support the resolution.

Today, October 13, is the 232nd day of the russia-Ukraine war.
