Eight regions in Ukraine finalized sunflower harvest by Nov 10
As of November 10, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine yielded 36.1 mln t on 8.5 mln ha, which is 76% of the planned area (2021: 91%, 14.5 mln ha), the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports. The average yield of crops as of the reporting date was 4.24 t/ha (2021: 5.08 t/ha).
Eight regions of Ukraine have finished sunflower harvesting: Vinnytsya, Volyn, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy.
- wheat: 19.4 mln t on 4.7 mln ha (100%), avg. yield 4.12 t/ha
- barley: 5.6 mln t on 1.6 mln ha (100%), avg. yield 3.51 t/ha
- rapeseed: 3.2 mln t on 1.1 mln ha (100%), avg. yield 2.89 t/ha
- peas: 261 thou. t on 111.5 thou. ha (100%), avg. yield 2.34 t/ha
- millet: 98 thou. t on 42.6 thou. ha (95%), avg. yield 2.31 t/ha
- buckwheat: 153 thou. t on 112 thou. ha (95%), avg. yield 1.36 t/ha
- sunflower: 9.5 mln t on 4.4 mln ha (93%), avg. yield 2.19 t/ha
- corn: 9.6 mln t on 1.6 mln ha (39%), avg. yield 5.83 t/ha
- soybean: 3.4 mln t on 1.4 mln ha (91%), avg. yield 2.4 t/ha
- sugar beet: 7.3 mln t on 149 thou. ha (83%), avg. yield 48.9 t/ha
Agriproducers in Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Vinnytsya and Kirovohrad regions harvested more than 2.8 mln t of the new crop on the reporting date.
The highest yield of grains and legumes was produced in Khmelnysky region — 6.37 t/ha.
Producers in Odesa region harvested 833 thou. t of barley, the largest volume in Ukraine in the current production season.
USDA projects wheat output in Ukraine in 2022/23 at 20.5 mln t, corn at 31.5 mln t, and sunflower at 10.1 mln t.
