Ukraine grain corridor: 80 vessels waiting for inspection by JCC

Four vessels departed the ports of Big Odesa yesterday, December 20. They were loaded with 129 kt of agri-food commodities for African, Asian and European countries, the Ministry of Infrastructure reports.

A bulk carrier sailing under the flag of Turkey INCE ATLANTIC was loaded with 44 thou. t of wheat for Kenya.

"It is the third vessel delivering Ukrainian grain to this African country. Kenya is one of the countries to receive Ukrainian wheat under President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's initiative #GrainFromUkraine," the message reads.

27 vessels are now being processed in Ukraine's ports. They are to be loaded with 1 mln t of farm products. Two vessels are on their way to Ukraine. Their capacity is 63 thou. t.

As of December 19, 80 vessels were waiting for the inspection by the JCC in the Sea of Marmara, Turkey.

Since the start of the Black Sea Grain Initiative on 1 August, 14.3 mln t of agri-food commodities have been exported from Ukraine by 569 vessels.
