NIBULON arranges farmland demining in Mykolaiv region to complete spring planting

NIBULON is planning to demine its cropland in Snihurivka district of Mykolaiv region. The company expects to sow spring crops in these areas this season.

Nearly 5.5 thou. ha in Snihurivka district are to be cleared of russian mines. The company has lost 25 thou. ha of farmland, most of which is located in Luhansk region, as a result of the full-scale invasion. Currently, NIBULON's land bank is 51 thousand hectares. Before the war, the company managed 82.5 thou. ha.

Winter crops top dressing, including wheat, rapeseed and barley, is underway.

"The farmers plan to fertilize 8.5 thou. ha of winter wheat, 1 thou. ha of winter barley and 3 thou. ha of winter rapeseed. As of today, the work has been completed on an area of 7 thou. ha, covering 60% of the planned total," the company said.

Previously reported that at least 300 thou. ha will not be planted this season in Kharkiv and Kherson regions for severe contamination with russian mines and ordnances.
