Corn forms bulk of agricultural products export since war broke in Ukraine

In the period from 1 March 2022 to 15 March 2023, Ukraine exported 54.6 mln t of grains, pulses, oilseeds and processed products. Of these, corn makes 23.4 mln t and wheat 12.2 mln t. Sunflower oil ranked third with 4.3 mln t of supplies.

As per the Agrarian Ministry's data, the agricultural commodities export structure in the first half of March 2023 is as follows:

  • corn 53.3%
  • wheat 21.7%
  • sunflower oil 6.5%
  • pulses 5.9%
  • oilseed meal 4.3%
  • barley 4%
  • sunflower seed 2.8%
  • rapeseed 1.04%
  • soybean oil 0.4%

In 1-15 March, 3 mln t of agricultural products were shipped through the ports, 508.3 thou. t by rail, 248.2 thou. t by motor vehicles and 55.3 thou. t by ferry.
