Astarta-Kyiv plants sugar beet in Poltava region

Astarta-Kyiv has launched spring crops planting campaign in Poltava region. The company's farms are now planting sugar beet.

The 2023 cropping plan includes:

  • 38.9 thou. ha sugar beet (LY: 33)
  • 19.1 thou. ha corn (38)
  • 56.9 thou. ha soybean (40)
  • 42.8 thou. ha winter wheat (55)
  • 28.2 thou. ha sunflower (30)
  • 13.8 thou. ha winter rapeseed (6)

Astarta's organic farmland area totals 1.8 thou. ha (2022: 2 thou. ha).

The company has access to and manages its entire land bank of 220 thou. ha in six regions of Ukraine.
