Ukraine's agriculture sector recovery estimated at USD 30 bln — KSE Agrocenter

Ukraine's agriculture sector suffered USD 40.2 bln in damage as a result of the war started by russia, according to the latest estimates by KSE Agrocenter.

In particular, direct losses totalled USD 8.7 bln (USD 2.1 bln more than estimated in November 2022). Most of the damage, which is USD 6 bln, was caused by destroyed and damaged agricultural machinery and storage facilities.

Indirect losses stood at USD 31.5 bln (USD 2.76 bln less than the estimate in November 2022). Most of the losses in this category were caused by a decline in crop production, which accounted for almost half of all indirect losses (USD 14.3 bln).

The industry needs at least USD 29.7 bln to recover.
