Agriculture development strategy includes construction of 8 machinery plants in Ukraine

Eight agricultural machinery manufacturing plants will be built in Ukraine in the next 10 years after the victory in the war with russia, the Strategy for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex projects.

In particular, 2 motor machinery plants with a capacity of 1500 units — 1,200 tractors and 300 combines — may be built in Ukraine.

It is also planned to build 6 plants for mounted and trailed machinery with a capacity of 10,000 units.

The strategy also envisages an increase in the power of existing machinery to 0.88 horsepower/ha.

In total, the agricultural machinery sector requires investments of USD 720 million. According to the strategy, Ukraine's investment attractiveness in this sector is based on the existence of demand and the need for import substitution. The existing resource base for the production of components will contribute to Ukraine's investment attractiveness.
