Farmers in Kherson region receive 15 John Deere machinery units from Howard G. Buffett Foundation

The Victory Harvest Charity Foundation will receive ten combines and five John Deere tractors, which will be used exclusively by Kherson farmers for harvesting and the next sowing campaign.

The agricultural machinery will be provided by The Howard G. Buffett Foundation. The donated John Deere equipment includes five S770 combines, five S760 combines and five 8430 tractors worth over USD 5 million.

"russia's war against Ukraine has been particularly devastating for the residents of Kherson region. The constant shelling has now been aggravated by the flooding caused by the destruction of the Kakhovka dam. Our foundation is committed to expanding support for farmers with these specialized harvesters and is also working to accelerate mine clearance in the region," said Howard G. Buffett, Chairman and CEO of the foundation.

This donation from the Foundation complements the agricultural equipment previously donated to the Victory Harvest fund with a total value of over USD 27 million. All the equipment, including tractors, combines, seeders, harvesters, grain trailers, sleeves, etc., is provided free of charge to Ukrainian farmers for temporary use not only for sowing and harvesting but also for storing and transporting their crops.
