Ukrprominvest-Agro contracts over 100 thou. tons of sugar for the global market, beyond EU
Ukrprominvest-Agro has already contracted 123,000 tons of beet sugar for the global market, beyond the European Union, CEO Roman Ogorodov announced at a meeting with farmers on the partnership programme "Sugar Beet — Choice of the Smart".
This approach is also employed by other sugar producers, including Astarta and Radekhivskyi Sugar, he explained.
Ogorodov noted that the company expects a decline in sugar output.
"We planned to produce about 320 thousand tons of sugar, but now we see that it will be about 310 thousand tons. This decline in sugar production in our company is driven by weather and climate conditions, which are particularly challenging," the CEO said.
According to him, the situation with sugar beet is difficult in three of the company's branches in Podillya.
