Kernel stopped one of its oilseeds crushing plants on sunflower deficit

The limited supply of sunflower seeds on the market forced three of Kernel's plants to process other oilseeds in the second quarter of FY2025. The crushing plants processed 93 thousand tons of soybeans and 14 thousand tons of rapeseed, the company's operations report reads.

In January 2025, one of Kernel's oilseeds crushing plants shut down due to a shortage of raw materials.

Kernel processed 973 thousand tons of oilseeds in the reporting period, up 20% YoY. This growth was driven by the operation of the Starokostiantyniv crushing plant in Khmelnytskyi region.

Processing volumes in October-December 2024 also increased by 42% quarter on quarter, when regular monthly maintenance was underway.
