IMC nears completion of grain elevator preparations, expands solar power installation

IMC is finalizing preparations of its grain elevators for the upcoming season, the agroholding reported on Facebook.

“This year’s scheduled maintenance at IMC’s elevators is nearing completion. Disinfection of production facilities is currently underway. The elevators are ready to receive the new winter wheat crop,” said Andrii Gavrylenko, Deputy CEO for Grain Storage and Processing at IMC.

In 2024, IMC’s elevators shipped a record volume of grain — over 1.1 million tons. During the first half of the year, the company completed shipments of the remaining 2024 crop and prepared its facilities to take in the 2025 harvest.

Currently, four of IMC’s elevators are equipped with solar panels, and installation is ongoing at two additional sites.

In addition, two elevators and three grain drying complexes have been fitted with heat generators powered by sunflower pellets and grain waste. This enables the company to replace natural gas with biofuel in the grain drying process.
