Ukraine harvests 2.6 mln t of early grains, wheat yield averages 2.8 t/ha

As of July 11, Ukrainian growers have harvested 2.6 million tons of early grains and pulses, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

The breakdown is as follows:

  • Wheat: 434.8 thousand hectares harvested, 1.24 million tons collected, with an average yield of 2.8 t/ha

  • Barley: 364 thousand hectares harvested, 1.15 million tons collected, with an average yield of 3.1 t/ha

  • Peas: 119.7 thousand hectares harvested, 225.1 thousand tons collected, with an average yield of 1.9 t/ha

Harvesting is now underway across 18 regions of the country.

Meanwhile, rapeseed is being harvested in nine regions. A total of 290.1 thousand tons has been collected from 178.9 thousand hectares, with an average yield of 1.6 t/ha.
