Ukrainian farmers approach 1 million tonnes in early grain harvest — Agriculture Ministry

As of July 4, growers in Ukraine harvested 865,700 tons of new-crop grain from 331,900 hectares, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported.

Breakdown by crop:

  • Wheat: 107,400 ha harvested, 277,800 tons threshed;

  • Barley: 176,600 ha harvested, 501,200 tons threshed;

  • Peas: 47,200 ha harvested, 83,800 tons threshed.

Odesa region leads in the early grains and pulses harvest, with overall harvesting underway in nine regions:

  • Odesa: 175,800 ha harvested, 516,200 tons threshed;

  • Mykolaiv: 119,700 ha harvested, 276,700 tons threshed;

  • Dnipropetrovsk: 17,700 ha harvested, 37,200 tons threshed.

Producers in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions have also collected 71,600 tons of rapeseed from 46,000 hectares.
