Ukraine’s July exports rise to $3.3 bln, over half from farm goods

Ukraine exported goods worth more than $3.3 billion in July 2025, up $167.8 million, or 5.4%, from June, the State Customs Service said. Total exports in the first seven months of the year exceeded $23 billion, according to the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.

Agricultural products and food industry goods remained the country’s top export category, accounting for over half of the total — $1.7 billion in July.

Ukraine exported 8.2 million tons of goods during the month, including 3.5 million tons of agricultural products. Physical shipment volumes grew by 7.1% for maritime transport and 4.4% for road transport, while rail shipments declined by 1.5%.

The largest export items by value in July were:

  • sunflower oil — $537.9 million (464,000 tons)

  • iron ore and concentrates — $190.1 million (3 million tons)

  • wheat — $159 million (732,800 tons)

  • soybeans — $151 million (375,200 tons)

  • corn — $145 million (617,700 tons)

  • insulated wires — $108.2 million (5,800 tons)

  • poultry meat — $96.5 million (34,100 tons)

The European Union remained Ukraine’s key trading partner, with exports to the bloc totalling $1.9 billion in July, up 10.1% from June. The largest EU importers were Poland ($405.9 million), the Netherlands ($201.8 million), Germany ($199.8 million), Spain ($161.4 million) and Italy ($142.5 million).

Outside the EU, the top buyers of Ukrainian goods were China ($212.4 million), Turkey ($149.2 million), India ($140.8 million), Egypt ($110.9 million) and Moldova ($100.3 million).
