Ukraine’s wheat market sees wider $20/t spread as feed wheat dominates from western regions

The sharp increase in Ukraine’s average wheat yield to 4.32 t/ha from 4.02 t/ha a week earlier is boosting supply, according to Spike Brokers.

“Most of the inflows from western regions are of feed quality, which may balance the ratio of milling to feed wheat at 50/50,” analysts noted.

As a result, the price spread between milling and feed wheat widened to $20/t. Milling wheat traded at $228–230/t DAP ports depending on quality, while feed wheat was priced at $208–212/t depending on protein content.
