Ukraine’s grain exports lag 50% behind last year in early 2025/26 season

Ukraine exported 3.08 million tons of grain as of August 20 in the 2025/26 marketing year, down 51% from the same period last season, according to State Customs Service data.

Wheat shipments reached 1.7 million tons (–44% y/y), corn exports stood at 841,000 tons (2.5 times lower), and barley exports totalled 503,000 tons (down twofold).

No rye exports have been recorded so far this season.
