MHP and Avangardco maintain leadership in Europe in poultry and egg production, but their global rankings have shifted
Ukrainian agribusiness groups MHP and Avangardco, a subsidiary of Ukrlandfarming, have retained their leading positions in the European rankings of the largest poultry meat and egg producers, respectively, LIGA.net reports, citing WATTPoultry International.
Another Ukrainian company, Ovostar Union, also made the top list — ranking seventh among Europe’s egg producers. Spain’s Uvesa, acquired by MHP in 2025, appears in the lower part of the top 30.

Globally, MHP’s standing has shifted: the company dropped from 8th to 19th place. Avangardco, meanwhile, has climbed one spot among the world’s largest egg producers and now ranks 14th.
The global egg market continues to be led by Cal-Maine Foods (USA, 50.6 million layers), Global Eggs (operations in Brazil, the U.S., and Spain — 43 million), and Proteina Animal (Mexico, 40 million).
