MHP harvests wheat at record yields this season, corn productivity expected at 8.7 t/ha

In the current season, MHP has harvested 2 million tons of grain from more than 330,000 hectares, covering over 90% of the land under cultivation, Deputy Chair of the Board Viktoria Kapelyushna said at a reporting meeting on Tuesday, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

According to her, wheat yields reached a record level of 7.7 tons per hectare, up from 7.2 t/ha a year earlier. Rapeseed yields were slightly lower than last year’s figures, at 3.3 t/ha compared with 3.7 t/ha in 2024. As of December, projected corn yields are estimated at 8.7 t/ha, while sunflower yields are expected to be around 3 t/ha.

“As of today, we expect spring crop yields overall to be broadly in line with last year. Total production is projected at between 2 and 2.2 million tons,” Kapelyushna said.

She added that segment revenue remained unchanged, as high prices for most crops and increased sales volumes of soybeans and wheat offset lower volumes of corn and rapeseed.
