Corn yields in Ukraine: top 5 regions in 2025 season

According to the Ministry of Economy, Ukraine’s corn harvest as of January 1, 2026, totalled 27.77 million tons. Growers had harvested 89% of the planted area by that date. The average corn yield this season reached 7.13 t/ha.

The total planted area remained almost unchanged compared to the previous season — 3.84 million ha (2024: 3.89 million ha).

Top 5 regions by average corn yield in the 2025 season:

  1. Khmelnytskyi Region — 10.5 t/ha, 2.74 million tons harvested
  2. Ternopil Region — 9.78 t/ha, 1.34 million tons
  3. Lviv Region — 9.31 t/ha, 724 thousand tons
  4. Kyiv Region — 9.18 t/ha, 2.84 million tons
  5. Chernihiv Region — 8.82 t/ha, 4.25 million tons

According to the USDA forecast, Ukraine’s corn production in the 2025/26 season is expected to reach 29 million tons.
