More than 800 air raid alerts caused over a month of port downtime in Odesa region in 2025 — USPA

In 2025, air raid alerts were activated more than 800 times in Ukraine’s Odesa region, resulting in cumulative port downtime exceeding one month of operational time, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) reported.

According to the year-end results for 2025, Ukraine’s seaports handled 82.2 million tons of cargo, which is 95.36% of the planned target of 86.2 million tons. The USPA noted that the forecast throughput of 81.769 million tons was fulfilled at 100.5%.

Agricultural commodities accounted for the largest share of transshipment in 2025, totalling 44.2 million tons, or 53.7% of overall volumes.

Container traffic showed strong growth: Ukrainian seaports handled 215,748 TEU in 2025, compared with 129,902 TEU in 2024. Ukrainian products were exported to 55 countries.
