Russia attacks Big Odesa and Danube ports, containers catch fire
On the night of February 27, Russia launched a UAV attack on the ports of Big Odesa and the Danube region, causing damage, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reported.
There were no casualties. However, equipment, infrastructure elements, and administrative buildings were damaged. The ports continue operating in normal mode, taking into account the security situation.
According to Odesa Region Military Administration Head Oleg Kiper, port storage tanks and a construction crane sustained damage.
Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba said the attack damaged infrastructure facilities, warehouse and production premises, as well as company equipment. Fires broke out at several locations, including containers loaded with food products.
