New Fendt and Maschio Gaspardo dealer launches in Poltava
A new agricultural machinery dealer, Agregat, has launched operations in Poltava, central Ukraine. The company was founded by Artem Omelianenko, owner of the agricultural company Mayak, and his business partner Roman Stepanovych. Agregat will sell and service Fendt, Maschio Gaspardo, and Weidemann machinery across Poltava, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
According to Omelianenko, the company was established to address a common problem faced by farmers—insufficient after-sales service and long waiting times for spare parts.
"Like many farmers, I buy tractors, seeders and implements from different brands. But after the purchase, the level of service is often poor or even nonexistent, and spare parts can take one, two or even three weeks to arrive. That is unacceptable for us. That's why we decided to build our own dealership," Omelianenko said.
The new dealership will focus primarily on after-sales support. Since March, Agregat has operated as a service partner for Fendt. The company currently services more than 100 machines and employs five service engineers.
The team also works weekends and aims not only to respond to service requests but to resolve customers' problems within 24 hours.
"We are building the company around service. We are investing in mobile service vehicles, staff training, equipment and performance analytics for every engineer. Our goal is not just to receive a service request but to return the machine to operation as quickly as possible," Stepanovych said.
Poltava will serve as Agregat's central hub, housing its administrative and service teams as well as a spare parts warehouse. The company currently operates temporary service facilities and plans to open permanent service centers in Sumy and Kharkiv regions by the end of the year.
Construction of a new service center in Poltava is also scheduled to begin this year. The facility will include repair bays, training classrooms for machine operators, a spare parts warehouse and a machinery display area.
Anton Kostyrko, Marketing Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at AGCO, said the manufacturer carefully selects its dealers because they are expected not only to sell machinery but also to support farmers throughout the equipment's lifecycle.
"We are very selective when choosing our partners. The Agregat team understands agriculture from the inside. They know what happens in the field, how costly machinery downtime can be, and why service is needed immediately—not several days later. For us, dealership is about long-term relationships with farmers, not simply buying and selling equipment. Our principle is 'Farmer First,' and we see that Agregat shares this approach," Kostyrko said.
He added that the new dealership is expected to strengthen Fendt's presence in Poltava, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
Olena Bohacheva, Director of Maschio Gaspardo Ukraine, said the company selected Agregat based on the team's experience, its service-oriented approach and its readiness to operate in the designated regions.
"It is important for us that a dealer understands the needs of local farmers and can provide not only machinery sales but also reliable after-sales service and spare parts availability. These were the key factors we evaluated when selecting our new partner," she said.
