Ukraine, Turkey to explore new agricultural trade opportunities at AgroFoodSummit 2026

AgroFoodSummit 2026, a conference focused on expanding agricultural trade between Ukraine and Turkey following the implementation of the bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA), will take place in Mersin, Turkey, on Sept. 24-25.

The event will bring together representatives of agribusinesses, food processors, traders, analysts and industry associations from more than 25 countries, according to the organisers, the Ukrainian Pulse and Soybean Association (UPSA).

According to UPSA President Antonina Skliarenko, the summit has gained particular importance after the Ukraine-Turkey FTA entered into force in July 2026, granting duty-free access for 84% of Ukrainian goods to the Turkish market.

"Amid ongoing export logistics challenges, Ukrainian companies are seeking new opportunities to access international markets, making AgroFoodSummit 2026 in Turkey especially significant. Last year's summit attracted participants from more than 25 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the European Union," she said.

The conference agenda will focus on key segments of Ukraine-Turkey agricultural trade. Participants will discuss grain and grain products, pulses, soybeans and soybean meal, as well as the oilseed sector. Topics will include global market trends, supply and demand, logistics, processing, price outlooks and new cooperation opportunities between Ukrainian producers and Turkish buyers.

In addition to the business program, the organisers have planned networking events, including an official reception featuring a performance by the Fire of Anatolia dance ensemble and a business visit to the production facilities of Arbel, one of Turkey's largest processors of grain and pulse products.

Leading Ukrainian agricultural holdings, exporters and processing companies are expected to attend the summit and hold business meetings with Turkish partners.
