Ukraine starts corn harvest in two regions

Ukraine has started harvesting its 2026 corn crop. As of Aug. 31, corn had been harvested from 380 hectares, with an initial average yield of 1.79 tons per hectare, according to data on the progress of the harvest campaign as of Aug. 31.
Corn harvesting has begun in Kherson and Lviv regions.
In Kherson region, farmers harvested corn from 320 hectares, collecting 680 tons of grain. The average yield was 2.13 tons per hectare.
In Lviv region, harvesting began on 60 hectares. No data on the volume harvested is available yet.
Growers had harvested 6.8213 million hectares, or 58% of the projected area. A total of 32 million tons of new-crop grain and legumes had been harvested, with an average yield of 4.68 tons per hectare.
