Additional quotas for agricultural products will come into force in October

Ukrainian agrarians will be able to take advantage of additional quotas for the supply of agricultural products to the EU from October 1, 2017.

This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Ukraine's trade representative Natalia Mikolskaya in Facebook.

Tariff quotas for grains will come into force on January 1, 2018, since their application requires the adoption of a separate implementing regulation of the European Commission.

The regulation provides additional zero tariff quotas for Ukrainian honey — 2.5 thousand tons, corn and flour — 650 thousand tons, barley and flour — 350 thousand tons, wheat and flour — 65 thousand tons. Also quotas were increased: for barley cereals — 7.8 thousand tons, oats — 4 thousand tons, processed tomatoes — 3 thousand tons and grape juice — 500 tons.

Let us remind, that on September 13, the European Parliament signed a decision on granting trade preferences for Ukraine.
