The budget proposal for 2018 provides for a high level of support for the agroindustrial complex

At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on September 15, the draft Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2018" was submitted, which states that 1% of the GDP of the agrarian sector is planned to be allocated to the state support of the agro-industrial complex in 2018.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

State programs will focus on the industries that need support most, and are able to provide a lasting positive effect for the economy and the social sphere.

In particular, the Draft Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget for 2018" provides:

  • 1 billion UAH — financial support for the development of farms and rural cooperation;
  • 1 billion USD — financing of partial compensation of the cost of purchased agricultural machinery and equipment of Ukrainian production;
  • 2 billion UAH — a budget subsidy for the development of agricultural producers and stimulating the production of agricultural products;
  • 2.3 billion UAH — support of the livestock sector, in particular, the direction of construction and reconstruction of livestock complexes.

Let us remind, that in the opinion of the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Elena Kovaleva, livestock and horticulture will be in the priority of state support in 2018.
