Credit debt of one of the agricultural holdings is 10 billion UAH

One large Ukrainian agricultural holding has 66 loans, and the debt on them is more than 10 billion UAH.

This was told by the director of the department for the consolidated sale of the assets of the Deposit Guarantee Fund (DGF) Taras Eleiko, reports AgroPolit.com.

According to him, the assets of a large agricultural business are on the balance sheet of the banks under the management of the DFG, but there are not many of them.

"Among the banks' assets there are quite large loans. For example, one large agroholding has 66 credits. Debt for all of them is more than 10 billion USD. The first package of these loans, which is not pledged by the NBU, has been trading for quite some time. The initial price at the last auction was 350 million UAH. We expect that it should be sold," Taras Eleiko said.

He added that the assets of agricultural business are estimated at 10% of the total amount that the Fund has. And he noted that there is not much interest in them.

"There is a technique in the pledge. A huge number of vehicles. It should be in demand, but the market does not react. Although we advertised this loan everywhere, all investors in the newsletter know about it," Taras Eleiko summed up.
