Linovitsky sugar refinery processed 31k tons of sugar beet

Linovitsky sugar refinery (Linovitsa village, Chernigov region) as of October 3, produced almost 4k tons of sugar, having processed about 31k tons of sugar beet.

This is reported by the press service of the Chernigov Regional Sttate Administration.

It is specified that this is the only sugar refinery in the region.

In 2017, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine determined a quota of more than 1.6 million tons for the production and supply of sugar to the domestic market of Ukraine, which was distributed among 47 sugar producers. In particular, Linovitsky sugar refinery received a quota of more than 22 thousand tons.

The minimum price for the purchase of sugar beet and the wholesale price of sugar in 2017/18 MY is set at UAH 633 per 1 ton and UAH 9k per 1 ton (excluding VAT), respectively.

As of October 2, the volume of produced sugar is 309.8k tons. 2.35 million tons of sugar beet are processed.
