Ascet Shipping in January-September increased grain transshipment in Berdyansk port to 560k tons

Stevedoring company Ascet Shipping in January-September increased the grain transshipment in the Berdyansk Sea Port to 560k tons.

This was announced by the deputy director of Ascet Shipping for regional development Andrei Kharchenko.

He added that the volume of grain transshipment of other port operators of Berdyansk Port, namely Berdyansk Commercial Sea Port and Novaya Khortitsa amounted to 174k tons and 65k tons, respectively.

According to September results, Ascet Shipping is the leader of transshipment in Berdyansk Sea Port. Out of the total volume of the port's cargo handling (182k tons of cargo per month), 96k tons were transshipped by Ascet Shipping, 83k tons by Berdyansk Commercial Sea Port and about 3k tons by Novaya Khortitsa.

Andrei Kharchenko said that the company invested more than one million dollars of its own funds in developing the processing capabilities of Berdyansk Port and technical re-equipment of the berths with efficient and economical conveyor equipment.

"We offered the market a competitive and demanded transport service, and we continue to attract additional volumes of grain exports and ensure the growth of the cargo handling of Berdyansk Sea Port," he said.

Reference: in 2017, Ascet Shipping plans to bring the total volume of own transshipment of grain crops through berths of Berdyansk Sea Port to 1 million tons.
