Belarus bans import of pork from 4 regions of Ukraine

Belarus has limited the importation of pork from Odessa, Lugansk, Vinnytsia and Rivne regions of Ukraine due to the cases of African swine fever (ASF).

This is reported by the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus.

"In connection with the ASF, it is necessary to take additional measures to prevent the import to the territory of the Republic of Belarus from the Odessa, Lugansk, Vinnytsia and Rivne regions of Ukraine of live pigs, pork and processed products, tanning, horn-hoofed and intestinal raw materials, bristles, wild boar meat, hunting trophies received from susceptible species of animals, etc.," the report says.

Earlier it was reported that Belarus had limited the import of pork from the Lviv and Zhytomyr regions.
