USPA announced a tender for a new berth construction in Port of Nikolaev

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) announced the tender procedure for the construction of a new berth No. 8 in the seaport of Nikolaev.

On October 20, 2017 the corresponding announcement was posted on the Prozorro electronic system.

The expected cost of works is UAH 317 million. The constructed berth will be 220.66 m long, and the depth under the berth will be 10.5 m with the prospect of increasing to 13 m.

"The project provides for the construction of a dock and dredging near it. Thus, the USPA will increase the capacity of the Port of Nikolaev, which is included in the top three ports in terms of cargo turnover in the country. The new berth is new opportunities and new projects necessary for the further development of the Port of Nikolaev and the region," said Raivis Veckagans, the acting CEO of USPA.

Companies are invited to participate in the competition, both residents and non-residents of Ukraine. Deadline for documents submission is November 20, 2017.
