John Deere wins gold and 2 silver medals at the Agritechnica Innovation Award 2017

John Deere was awarded gold and 2 silver medals at the Agritechnica Innovation Award 2017.

John Deere and Kemper won the Agritechnica Innovation Award 2017 gold medal for the StalkBuster system, the first stubble-destroying technology to form an integral part of a maize header. At Agritechnica 2017, StalkBuster is located in Hall 13, Stand C31.

John Deere was awarded silver medals for the system AutoTrac, a joint development with Monosem (Hall 13, Stand E30) and for the ballasting system of the rear wheels EZ Ballast Wheels.

  • StalkBuster is designed to break up the crop stubble directly below the self-propelled forage harvester’s header. Power consumption of the StalkBuster is surprisingly low, and it has no additional restrictions for transportation.
  • AutoTrac Implement Guidance is an active steering system for row hoes that is controlled from the tractor and provides accurate control between the rows and without using a traditional shifting frame.
  • EZ Ballast Wheel System provides a versatile ballasting solution for tractors, without blocking the front and rear hitches. The system’s flexible weight distribution is designed to ensure higher traction and lower soil compaction in the field.
