USPA announced a tender for dredging works in the port of Chernomorsk

The Yuzhny Department of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) announced holding of an open tender procedure for the dredging works at Chernomorsk seaport.

The project Reconstruction of the port maritime approach channel and the operational water area of the 1st bucket of the Suhoi Liman of the Ilyichevsk Department of the USPA provides for the depths up to 16 m, the operating water area — up to 15 m.

The expected cost of work is UAH 444.8 million without VAT.

"After the implementation of these projects, Chernomorsk will have all the conditions for the safe and easy approach of large-capacity vessels to active and reconstructed deep-water berths. We are confident that this will not only contribute to the growth of cargo handling in the port, but will also increase revenues to budgets of all levels," Maxim Shirokov, the Head of the Administration of the port Yuzhny, says.

Ukrainian and international companies are invited to participate in the tender procedure. The deadline for the submission of tender proposals is January 23, 2018.

Reference: the Risoil Terminal company announced it will increase the volume of cargo handling up to 4.5 million tons per year (at current 1.5 million tons) after carrying out dredging operations at the port of Chernomorsk.
