Saudi Arabia to import Ukrainian beef
Representatives of the competent authority for the control of food and medicine products of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) plan to visit Ukraine with the aim of opening the KSA market for Ukrainian beef.
The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumers Protection (SSUFSCP) informs that during the visit, the commission will assess the system of state control over the production of beef and will inspect enterprises that intend to export beef to KSA.
"Enterprises, that are interested in the supply of beef and other meat products to the KSA and are willing to undergo the corresponding inspection, should submit information on the declared capacities of the SSUFSCP by December 1, 2017," the report says.
The SSUFSCP and the competent authority of Saudi Arabia began the process of coordinating the form of the veterinary certificate for the export of beef and other meat products.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine in January-October 2017 exported 33.81 thousand tons of fresh and frozen cattle meat for the amount of USD 94.01 million.
