In MY 2017/18 Ukraine should produce 1.95 MT of sugar

Sugar production in Ukraine in MY 2017/18 should reach 1.95 million tons, writes Economic Discussion Club.

Taking into account the ending inventories, the total supply of Ukrainian sugar at the beginning of December is estimated at 1.94 million tons. 346 thousand tons were provided for domestic consumption in the first quarter of the current MY.

In September-November of this year, 126 thousand tons of sugar were exported (by 40% less than over the corresponding period of 2016). The largest volumes of domestic sugar were imported to Sri Lanka, Turkey, and Turkmenistan.
