Export of Ukrainian grapes increased almost 4 times
The export of Ukrainian grapes in January–November 2017 increased 3.9 times compared to the total volume of exports in 2016: 102 tons against 26 tons, reports Agrotimes with reference to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In monetary terms, the growth amounted to 55.6% — USD 98 thousand in January-November 2017 against USD 63 thousand in 2016. 44% of Ukrainian grapes in 2017 were exported to Belarus, 32.7% to Moldova, 9% to the Netherlands.
The volumes of grape imports are sustainably high. For 11 months of 2017, 42.4 thousand tons were imported for the amount of USD 31 million, while last year the volume made up 44.4 thousand tons worth of USD 34 million. More than a half of the imported grapes (54%) is delivered to Ukraine from Turkey, 23% from Iran, and 6% from Uzbekistan.
Reference: Ukraine in January–November 2017 exported 19.69 thousand tons of apples, pears and quinces for the amount of USD 5.62 million.
