Agrotrade increased its landbank to 70 thousand hectares

In 2017, Agrotrade group increased the cultivated area to 70,000 hectares, harvested more than 300,000 tons of grain, raised the capacity of grain elevators and expanded seed production.

The company informed that it had also undergone a reorganizing process — company's farms were united into 6 clusters.

According to the report, Agrotrade increased the landbank in Chernigov region, where it acquired enterprises, and thus strengthened the northern (Chernigov) cluster.

The harvest of 2017 amounted to more than 300 thousand tons of grain crops and organic flax and lentils. In addition, the company engaged in the production of niche crops: mustard and pumpkin.

In November 2017, Agrotrade completed the construction of the third phase of the elevator in the northern cluster. To increase the capacity, the company raised a loan from the EBRD. The total capacity of all elevators of the company increased to 620 thousand tons.

Over the past year, the company expanded the seed assortment with new corn hybrids with FAO 260-340 and sunflower resistant to the main varieties of Orobanche.

"Last year was effective in terms of yield, profitability and structural changes. In 2017, all segments of the vertically integrated business model received profit and a new impetus for development," commented Elena Vorona, Financial and Operational Director of the group.
