Transshipment of vegetable oils in January 2018 decreased 4.5%

The seaports of Ukraine in January 2018 provided for the transshipment of 457.09 thousand tons of vegetable oils, which is 4.5% less than over the same period last year (478.53 thousand tons).

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) informs that the top 5 seaports includes:

1. Nikolaev — 163.25 thousand tons (26,9% less as compared to the corresponding period last year);

2. Yuzhny — 149.83 thousand tons (104.8% more);

3. Chernomorsk (former Illichevsk) — 134.14 thousand tons (7.9% less);

4. Izmail — 6.68 thousand tons (12,5% more);

5. Odessa — 3.2 thousand tons (60% more).

Reference: in 2017, Ukraine exported 5.76 million tons of sunflower oil for the amount of USD 4.3 billion.
