Export of corn in January decreased 10%

In January 2018, export of corn from Ukraine totaled 2.08 million tons, which is 9.96% less than over the same period last year.
The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine informs that in monetary terms corn exports amounted to USD 316.67 million, compared to USD 350.45 million in January 2017.
The main importers of Ukrainian corn in January 2018 are Egypt (USD 47.18 million), the Netherlands (USD 47.02 million) and Spain (USD 35.98 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 310.22 thousand tons, 309.18 thousand tons and 236.52 thousand tons, respectively.
Reference: in 2017, export of Ukrainian corn reached 19.39 million tons and was worth of USD 2.99 billion.
