Beef exports in January 2018 dropped 19%

Ukraine in January 2018 exported 2.33 thousand tons of fresh and frozen beef, which is 19.24% less than the previous year.

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reports that Ukraine exported 709 tons of fresh/chilled beef (January 2017: 1.13 thousand tons) and 1.63 thousand tons of frozen beef (January 2017: 1.76 thousand tons).

The main importer of fresh and chilled beef is Belarus (USD 1.97 million), where 705.03 tons of meat were exported (99.44% of the total volume).

Frozen beef was exported to Azerbaijan (USD 1.71 million), Kazakhstan (USD 1.2 million) and Belarus (USD 0.5 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 575.41 tons, 403.98 tons and 169.33 tons, respectively.

Reference: in 2017, Ukraine exported 41.87 thousand tons of fresh and frozen beef, which is 19.38% more than in 2016 (35.09 thousand tons).
