Corn exports in Jan-Feb exceeded 4 MT

Export of corn from Ukraine in January-February 2018 reached 4.11 million tons. Grain was exported for the amount of USD 626.05 million.
The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine informed that the major importers of Ukrainian corn over the indicated period are Egypt (USD 130.18 million), the Netherlands (USD 86.31 million) and Italy (USD 76.71 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 854.01 thou. tons, 566.47 thou. tons and 503.21 thou. tons of corn, respectively.
In 2017, Ukraine exported 19.39 million tons of corn for the amount of USD 2.99 billion.
Corn prices in Ukraine since early 2018 have grown by almost USD 50 per ton. In the period from 12 to 16 March, Ukrainian corn recorded another increase in price. FOB prices in Odessa increased from USD 188 to USD 197 per ton.
