ViOil dropped the deal with Gerega

ViOil Industrial Group decided to halt the conclusion of the transaction with Renvior Trading Limited which belongs to Alexander Gerega, ViОil informs.

"We really planned to attract the investor and negotiated the sale of a stake to Alexander Gerega's Renvior Trading Limited, but after receiving two loans for a total of USD 146 million, we decided to suspend the deal," said Victor Ponomarchuk, ViOil Industrial Group Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

According to him, negotiations on the deal were suspended in late December. At the same time Victor Ponomarchuk planned to reserve the controlling stake in the company.

Reference: in February, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) authorized the company Renvior Trading Limited, which belongs to MP and the owner of Epicenter Alexander Gerega, the acquisition of ViOil shares.
