Export of wheat from seaports decreased 28%

According to preliminary data, 154 thou. tons of wheat were shipped from the Ukrainian sea ports for export from March 10 to March 16, which is 28% less than the corresponding indicator a week earlier, APK-Inform reports.

It is noted that the export of corn in the reporting week increased 19% and amounted to 572 thou. tons. Barley in this period was not shipped. Exports of basic grains over the period from 10 to 16 March amounted to 726 thou. tons against 719 thou. tons a week earlier.

"The ports of Chernomorsk and Nikolaev transshipped 224 thou. tons and 217 thou. tons, respectively," the message says.

It is reported that the maximum amount of Ukrainian grain in the reporting week was imported by Egypt (147 thou. tons) and China (102 thou. tons).

Reference: export of corn from Ukraine in January-February 2018 reached 4.11 million tons. Grain was exported for the amount of USD 626.05 million.
