Grain exports to Turkey in Jul-Feb increased fourfold

In July-February of 2017/18, Ukraine exported more than 1.8 million tons of basic grain crops, peas and mill offals to Turkey, which exceeds the indicator of the same period of the previous season (455,500 tons) by 4.1 times, APK-Inform reports.

Corn holds the leading position in the structure of supplies in the current season with 729.9 thou. tons (1.5 thou. tons over the same period of 2016/17). Wheat exports amounted to 447.5 thou. tons (27 thou. tons). The traditional leader in the volume of supplies to Turkey — mill offals — in the current season holds the third position with the export volume of 385.9 thou. tons (352 thou. tons).

The export of Ukrainian barley to Turkey increased to 167.6 thou. tons in the current marketing year as compared to 46.8 thou. tons in July-February of 2016/17. Exports of peas reached 126.2 thou. tons against 28.2 thou. tons over the same period of 2016/17.

Reference: export of grain and oil seeds from Ukraine in 2017 amounted to USD 15.2 million.
